Abdulkarim Hassan has been full of praise for the Oman fans who cheered on Qatar through their 2019 Asian Cup triumph.  Speaking on his return to Doha, the Al Sadd defender wanted to thank the Omani's who turned out in force for the final, and celebrated with the side when they arrived in the country on route to Doha. 

"We missed our Qatari audience, but our Omani brothers did not fall short and supported us strongly. We dedicate the cup to the Emir and the Qatari people."

Qatari fans could only head to the UAE with special permission, based on the ongoing political situation. Meaning it was near impossible for fans to follow their country.
