Hughton replaces Lamouchi after Nottingham Forest endure 11-game winless run
Former Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton has taken charge of Nottingham Forest, replacing Sabri Lamouchi.
Nottingham Forest have named Chris Hughton as their new manager after sacking Sabri Lamouchi.
Forest have lost all five of their competitive matches across all competitions in the 2020-21 season as part of an 11-game winless run stretching back to July.
The two-time European Cup winners had looked set to achieve a place in the Championship play-offs last term until a shock 4-1 home defeat to Stoke City on the final day of the regular season saw them miss out on goal difference.
Lamouchi's exit was announced on Tuesday via an 18-word website statement from the club, who then confirmed the appointment of former Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion boss Hughton.
The 61-year-old took each of those clubs to promotion to the Premier League and previously led Norwich City to an 11th-place finish in England's top flight.
