Jordan's Al-Tamari joins Rennes from Montpellier
Jordanian international Musa Tamari on Monday signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with Rennes as he completed a move from fellow French Ligue 1 strugglers Montpellier.
Al-Tamari, who helped Jordan reach the Asian Cup final last year, is Rennes' sixth signing of the winter transfer window.
The 27-year-old scored twice in 15 league games for Montpellier this season, netting both goals in last month's 2-1 win over Monaco, after an ankle injury at the start of the campaign.
His arrival at Rennes comes after French forward Amine Gouiri departed for Marseille and Portuguese forward Jota to Celtic.
Midfielder Seko Fofana, goalkeeper Brice Samba, defenders Lilian Brassier and Anthony Rouault, and Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi have also recently joined Rennes.
Rennes are 15th in Ligue 1 and just two points above the relegation zone.
