Premier League Preview – Fulham
After scaling the heights last season, how will Fulham fare?

The summer so far…
A slow summer on the transfer front for Fulham as they have been sweating on the future of manager Marco Silva and key man Aleksandar Mitrovic. For now, Silva has committed his future to Fulham after reportedly turning down a reported £40m offer to coach Al-Ahli. However, Mitrovic’s head has been turned by an astronomical offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal and perhaps understandably he wants a piece of that life-changing generational wealth on offer from the Arabian peninsula.
Fulham have reacted, by the capture of Mexican striker Raúl Jiménez who would be able to fill that big number nine void should Mitrovic leave. Elsewhere, defender Calvin Bassey has been signed from Ajax and looks like a smart addition to the squad.
Player to watch…
No player embodied Fulham’s impressive return to the Premier League than Palhinha. The Portuguese midfielder was transformational, and his high energy and ability to crunch set the tone for the West London side as they finished in tenth place. Understandably the likes of Tottenham and West Ham have been linked with the player, who seems likely to stay on for this season. Fulham fans will be hoping the all-action midfielder will be able to recover from a shoulder injury in time for the start of the season.
Kit Watch
It seems like Fulham have brought into the Barbie hype for this away kit. The jury remains out. 1/5.
Predicted Finish – 14th
Fulham’s aggressive attacking football was a breath of fresh air last season, and for a late season slump the West London side could have been playing European football. Expect a difficult second season for Marco Silva and Co, especially if Aleksandar Mitrovic is lured away by Saudi Arabia.
