Two major departures have the Blades fearful on their return to the Premier League

The summer so far…
The late summer departures of star striker Iliman Ndiaye (Marseille) and midfield man Sander Berge (Burnley) have got Sheffield United fans worried ahead of the start of the season. Adding in the loan returns of James McAtee and Tommy Doyle to Manchester City and you have to argue that United are in a weaker place than last season. In terms of incoming, United are hoping that the duo of Anis Slimane from Brondby, Bénie Traoré from Häcken prove to become gems. USA international Auston Trusty impressed last season on loan at Birmingham City has been signed permanently from Arsenal and will add some defensive steel. Although with the departures of Ndiaye and Berge you do fear for the Blades.
Player to watch…
Oli McBurnie racked up 15 goals in all competitions last season, and the Scottish international will be relishing the opportunity to rough it again with Premier League defenders. McBurnie has a strong relationship with Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom and that could prove crucial if United are to stay up at the first time of asking.
Kit Watch
A delightful retro feel to the away kit this season. Big fan of that yellow, also a big fan of the subtle dig to cross City rivals Sheffield Wednesday in the promo video. 4.5/5
Predicted Finish – 20th
Relegation beckons for Sheffield United, despite a few players from their last stay in the Premier League the loss of Sander Berge and the goals of Iliman Ndiaye will prove to be too much.
