Manchester United will be looking to pick up their first win in the Champions League this season when they welcome F.C. Copenhagen to Old Trafford in what could prove to be an emotive evening. As ever, you can follow all the action on beIN SPORTS.
It has been a miserable return to the Champions League for Manchester United who have suffered defeats to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray in their opening two games. Domestically, United have also struggled at the start of the season and currently sits in eighth place in the Premier League, although that has been boosted by two scrappy wins over Brentford and Sheffield United respectively.
The game at Old Trafford will also take further significance as it will be the first game played at United’s home since the passing of club legend Sir Bobby Charlton.
In terms of absentees, United will be without Casemiro after the Brazilian midfielder saw red against Galatasaray. He joins a lengthy list that includes, Lisandro Martinez (foot), Jadon Sancho (disciplinary, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (muscle), Tyrell Malacia (knee), and Luke Shaw (muscle).
As for Copenhagen, they have led in their two Champions League games but only have a point to their name. Having raced into a 2-0 lead against Galatasaray, the Danes were undone by two late goals in Istanbul. Whilst their second game against Bayern saw Copenhagen take an early lead through Lukas Lerager, only to be defeated by second-half goals from Jamal Musiala and substitute Mathys Tel.
Considering United’s poor start to the season, the visitors will certainly their chances of pulling off an upset. In team news, left back Birger Meling is out injured and Christian Sorensen is expected to deputise. Oscar Hojlund will reunite with older brother Rasmus at Old Trafford, but the youngster will have to settle for a place on the Copenhagen bench.

FC København's first ever UEFA Champions League win was against Manchester United, a 1-0 home victory in November 2006. However, they've never won (D1 L3) or scored a goal (9 conceded) in four away games against English sides in the competition.
Manchester United’s last game against a Danish side in the UEFA Champions League came in December 2008, in a 2-2 draw with Aalborg BK. The Red Devils won their first three games against Danish teams in the competition, but have only won one of the last three (D1 L1).
FC København haven’t scored a goal in any of their last seven matches against English sides in European competition (D3 L4), with their last such goal coming against Manchester City in the UEFA Cup in February 2009 (a 2-1 defeat in the last 32 second leg).
