PSG vs AC Milan - Preview
PSG take on the undefeated AC Milan looking to bounce back from their 4-1 thrashing at Newcastle
Both PSG and Milan will be looking to boost their chances of qualifying for the knockout stage. PSG is in second place in Group F, two points behind the surprise leader Newcastle following a 4-1 loss to the Premier League side. PSG beat Borussia Dortmund in its opening home game and will hope to complete another home win on Wednesday night.
Milan, who reached the semifinals last season, are a point further back after starting their Champions League campaign with two goalless draws — against Newcastle and Dortmund.
Milan were beaten by Juventus 1-0 over the weekend and played most of the match with 10 men and were also missing two of their key players. Goalkeeper Mike Maignan — who grew up in the youth team at PSG but never played a match for the senior team — and Théo Hernández were both suspended.
They both return at the Parc des Princes, where Hernández will be facing his older brother for the first time. Both brothers played in Spain at the same time — Théo for Real Madrid and Lucas for Atlético Madrid — but were never both chosen in games between the two teams.
PSG come into this game on the back of impressive wins in Ligue 1 with a 3-1 win away at Rennes and a 3-0 home victory over Strasbourg, which has done plenty for confidence following their 4-1 defeat away at Newcastle.
