Dominica's Thea LaFond won the Olympic women's triple jump title in Paris on Saturday, a historic first medal for the tiny Caribbean country.
The world indoor champion hopped, skipped and jumped to a national record of 15.02 metres for victory.
Jamaica's Shanieka Ricketts took silver with 14.87m, American Jasmine Moore claiming bronze (14.67).
