President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), H.E. Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, was today confirmed as the 22nd President of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), strengthening leadership of the Olympic Movement across Asia. 

A sole candidate for the position, Sheikh Joaan brings more than a decade of experience in sports governance, having guided Qatar to its best-ever Olympic results at Tokyo 2020 and overseen the hosting of major world championships. 

He also serves as First Vice President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), further reinforcing his international leadership credentials.
