Holstein Kiel escpaes from Wolfsburg with a point
Holstein Kiel earned a point but remains without an away win in the Bundesliga after a 2-2 draw at Wolfsburg.
Kiel, which sits second-bottom on the table, opened the scoring against the sixth-placed host on 13 minutes through new signing David Zec and held the lead to the break.
But Patrick Wimmer and Jonas Wind scored in a three-minute blitz that left Kiel trailing not long after the restart, and a familiar story appeared to be unfolding for the visitors.
The Wolves looked by far the better side for the much of the second half, but Steven Skrzybski somehow managed to force the ball home in the 80th minute to earn the visitors a share of the spoils, but they remain in bottom two relegation spots on 12 points and could go bottom if Bochum wins its match this weekend.
Wolfsburg remains in the top six, but only on goals scored, with Mainz in seventh equal on 28 points and yet to play this matchday.
