Leipzig consolidates fifth thanks to Openda winner
A late Lois Openda winner pushed RB Leipzig three points clear in the fourth UEFA Champions League qualifying place with a 2-1 win at Heidenheim in the Bundesliga.
Openda’s 23rd goal of the campaign came five minutes from the end to secure the win for Leipzig, and while it has played a game more than fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund, which hosts unbeaten champion Bayer Leverkusen on Monday (AEST), it does have a far superior goal difference.
