Ramos hat-trick inspires PSG rout
Goncalo Ramos scored a hat-trick as Paris Saint-Germain soared into the Coupe de France semi-finals with a comprehensive 7-0 rout of Stade Briochin.
Joao Neves, Desire Doue, Senny Mayulu and Ousmane Dembele were also on target for Luis Enrique's side, who put a firm stop to their fourth-tier opponent's fairytale run at Roazhan Park.
Guillaume Allanou's men had defeated the likes of Le Havre and Nice on the way to reaching the last eight of this competition.
However, they fell behind in the 16th minute, when Neves volleyed home after Doue's initial effort deflected onto the post, while Ramos doubled the lead six minutes before the break.
The Portuguese made it 3-0 from the penalty spot in the 49th minute after Christophe Kerbrat fouled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, with Doue firing in a fourth six minutes later.
Doue turned provider for Ramos to complete his hat-trick on 58 minutes, while strikes from Maylu and substitute Dembele in the final quarter of the match added further gloss to the scoreline.
A commanding victory was no real surprise here, though PSG still managed to hit a significant milestone along the way.
Mayulu's goal was PSG's 100th in all competitions this season, making it the fifth side in the big five European leagues to hit triple figures after Barcelona (120), Real Madrid (104), Liverpool (101) and Bayern Munich (100).
Dembele completed the rout with what was PSG's third goal via substitutes in this season's Coupe de France, a tally only bettered in the competition by Dunkerque (four).
