Barcelona beats Osasuna to go three points clear
Barcelona moved three points clear of Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga with an easy 3-0 win in its game in hand at home to Osasuna.
The Blaugrana were without Raphinha and had Robert Lewandowski starting on the bench after this match was contentiously rearranged to this date, having been postponed following the death of club doctor Carles Minarro Garcia.
But Barca did not miss a beat as it extended its unbeaten run to 19 matches in all competitions, remaining the only team in Europe's top five leagues yet to taste defeat in 2025.
Ferran Torres added the finishing touch to a terrific team goal in the 11th minute, before Dani Olmo extended Barca's lead with a retaken penalty 10 minutes later after he had been fouled by Osasuna captain Sergio Herrera.
Olmo was soon forced off with an apparent injury, yet Barca remained in complete control and Torres struck the crossbar with a free-kick shortly before half-time.
The clinching third goal came only after Lewandowski appeared as a substitute, nodding in a cross from fellow substitute Fermin Lopez, who had replaced Olmo.
