Flick fires warning to Barca as Valencia looms
Hansi Flick warned Barcelona it must maintain its focus for the full 90 minutes to have any chance of winning LaLiga.
A four-match winless streak has seen the Blaugrana slip to third in LaLiga, nine points adrift of leader Real Madrid and six behind Atletico Madrid in second, ahead of facing Valencia.
While last week's 5-4 win at Benfica sealed its place in the UEFA Champions League's round of 16, it was held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Getafe last time out in the league.
In two of its previous three league games – a 2-2 draw with Real Betis and a 2-1 loss to Atletico – Barca conceded result-altering goals in second-half stoppage-time.
Seven of the 23 goals Barca has conceded in LaLiga this season have been in the 76th minute onwards, with only six teams shipping more goals in that time period.
"In Getafe, it was our fault that we didn't finish the game with the three points. We didn't play very well, we weren't focused," Flick said.
"That has to change. We have to be focused from the start and until the end."
Upcoming opponent Valencia is 19th on the table, but has gone unbeaten through its past four games in all competitions, and Flick does not expect an easy ride.
The Barca boss also hinted he could rotate his squad after the midweek trip to Portugal.
"We are well-prepared. Valencia have stabilised their defence, and they know how to play," he said. "It will be a demanding game for us. Their defence is very good. It won't be easy.
"We need fresh legs tomorrow. We have a few changes in the team, and we will see.
"For me, it's very important to win every game. That's how we want to approach it. We always think about the next one. After Valencia, we'll see against Atalanta [in the UEFA Champions League]."
