Muriqi moves Mallorca into the top six
A single goal from Vedat Muriqi was enough to see Mallorca beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0 and move into LaLiga's top six.
The Kosovan rose highest to meet a corner delivery in the 75th minute, powering home a header unchallenged to seal all three points for his side, taking it level with Athletic Club on 17 points ahead of meeting the Bilbao club in a huge clash next weekend.
For Rayo Vallecano, the result meant it missed a chance to move up as high as seventh on the table. Instead it sits ninth with 13 points.
