Villarreal scores four goals in eight minutes
A first-half goal blitz saw Villarreal thump Mallorca 4-0 in LaLiga, all the goals coming in an eight-minute avalanche midway through the first period.
Logan Costa started the scoring with a powerful header from a corner in the 20th minute for the home side.
Four minutes later, Alex Baena tapped Sergi Cardona's cross from the left to double the lead, and two minutes later it was 3-0 when Baena turned provider for Dani Parejo from the same position.
Yeremy Pino scored the fourth and arguably the pick of the goals two minutes after that when he smashed home a volley from another Cardona cross, effectively ending the contest on 28 minutes.
The victory moved Villarreal three points ahead of Mallorca on the LaLiga table, where the sides sit in fifth and sixth place respectively.
