Lyon 2-3 Paris Saint-Germain: Hakimi double moves leaders 13 points clear
Lyon fell just short of a comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, who opened up a 13-point lead at the Ligue 1 summit.
Achraf Hakimi scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain survived a Lyon fightback to win 3-2 and move 13 points clear at the Ligue 1 summit.
Luis Enrique's leaders were made to wait until the 53rd minute for their opener, Hakimi racing in unmarked to convert from Bradley Barcola's delightful delivery on Sunday.
PSG doubled their lead just six minutes later when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia played a simple offload for Ousmane Dembele, who twisted and turned before arrowing into the top corner.
Rayan Cherki pulled one back for the hosts with seven minutes remaining, however, capitalising after Georges Mikautadze's brilliant run and selfless assist.
Hakimi restored PSG's two-goal cushion only two minutes later, the full-back overlapping Lee Kang-In before finishing into the bottom corner.
Lyon still offered the visitors a scare, though, with captain Corentin Tolisso heading home from Ainsley Maitland-Niles' 92nd-minute delivery.
PSG managed to hold on for a victory that extended their lead at the top of the table, following Marseille's defeat to Auxerre on Saturday.
Data Debrief: PSG's top-half dominance continues
PSG have now won 11 matches against teams in the top half of the Ligue 1 table this season, the most of any side across Europe's top five leagues.
Luis Enrique's side looked comfortable in this away win, too, extending to 23 top-flight matches unbeaten this term (W18 D5) after a convincing performance on the road.
By contrast, Lyon's defeat saw them suffer four Ligue 1 losses in a row against PSG for just the second time in their history, having previously done so between September 1981 and April 1983 (also four).
