Savio, who was known as Savinho at City, has signed a long-term contract with Spurs, which is believed to be a five-year deal.

Reports suggest Spurs agreed on an £85m fee with City, an initial £75m with a further £10m available in add-ons, as the north London side extend their record transfer window.

Spurs' summer spending has surpassed the £300m mark, including the club-record signing of Sandro Tonali (£100m) from Newcastle United.

Savio was also linked with a move to Spurs in the 2025 summer transfer window, though City reportedly rejected an offer for the Brazilian.

"It's taken a while but I'm very happy to be here," the 22 year-old said.

"It's a wonderful opportunity at a brilliant club with one of the best managers in the world.

"As soon as I spoke to the head coach I knew I had to come. He told me he wants to help me reach the highest level, and I believe we can do that together, as a team."

Savio made 84 appearances for City after joining from Troyes ahead of the 2024-2025 season, scoring seven goals and providing 13 assists.

Across the previous two campaigns, Savio completed the second-most dribbles among City players and second-most take-on ending carries, trailing Jeremy Doku in both categories.

Savio may not be the last City player to join Spurs this summer, with Omar Marmoush also heavily linked with a move to Roberto De Zerbi's side before the end of the deadline.

Spurs started their league campaign with a 3-0 loss at Brentford, though will look to build momentum in their EFL Cup clash with Charlton on Wednesday before hosting Newcastle on Sunday.
