Onana returns to Trabzonspor on loan
Goalkeeper Andre Onana is heading back to Trabzonspor on loan from Manchester United for a second consecutive season.
Onana first joined the Turkish side in September last year for a season-long loan and has now returned for the 2026-2027 campaign.
There is reportedly no option to buy within the agreement, with Onana, who still has two years remaining on his United contract, expected to return to Manchester at the end of the season.
The Cameroon international made 33 appearances in all competitions for Trabzonspor last season, keeping six clean sheets and helping it to win the Turkish Cup for the first time since 2020.
Trabzonspor also finished third in the Turkish Super Lig, a much-improved result from seventh place in the campaign prior.
Onana played just one match for United in 2025-2026, a shock Carabao Cup exit to EFL League Two Grimsby Town on penalties in August, with his initial loan move coming swiftly after.
