Juventus goes top after Vlahovic double at Lecce
Dusan Vlahovic scored his second brace in as many weeks as Juventus climbed to the top of Serie A with a 3-0 win at Lecce.
A second-half brace from the Serbian striker and a late header from Gleison Bremer put the Bianconeri one point ahead of Inter Milan in the title race, although Massimiliano Allegri's side has played one more match than the Nerazzurri.
Inter did not play a league match this weekend as it was involved in the Italian Supercup.
Juve broke the deadlock when Vlahovic sent the ball bouncing into the far corner just before the hour mark.
His second came nine minutes later and was pinched off Weston McKennie, who'd risen to head home, only for Vlahovic to poke it in right on the goalline.
Bremer completed the win with a bullet header, leaping over the Lecce defence to head in a delicious free-kick from the left touchline five minutes from time.
Inter will not play another Serie A match until next weekend when it travels to Fiorentina next Monday (AEDT) and Juventus could be further ahead by then if it wins its match the day before against Empoli.
The top two will duke it out against each other in a huge game on 5 February (AEDT), a match that will no doubt be billed as a potential title decider.
