Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles: The Race to Determine the World's Fastest Athlete
Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Paris 2024 Olympic 100m gold medalist Noah Lyles have agreed to face off in a race to determine who is the fastest athlete. The long-awaited showdown, which has been brewing on social media for months, will finally take place between spring and summer, before Lyles competes in the U.S. Championships on July 31.

"It's time to settle this debate. I'm the fastest in the world—I proved it at the Olympics, at world championships, and wherever necessary. If I have to beat Tyreek to prove it, I will," Lyles stated in an interview with People. Hill, who has long defended his speed as an NFL player, declared that he is ready to show "real, true speed."
The showdown has sparked huge anticipation, especially after Lyles sent a direct message to Hill last February. After winning the 60m final at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, the sprinter revealed a sign that read: "Tyreek could never," further fueling the rivalry.
A Battle Between Two Lightning Bolts
Hill, who ran 40 yards in 4.29 seconds before joining the NFL in 2016, has long been considered the fastest player in the league. Despite being a veteran, he remains a speed icon, but the challenge against Lyles will be his toughest test yet.
The outcome of this race promises to settle the debate once and for all: Can the Olympic sprinter outpace the "Cheetah" of the NFL?
