USA Continues Undefeated Streak in Baseball World Cup!
The USA women's baseball team continues their winning streak in the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Finals 2024 after defeating Canada with a resounding 13-4. The stars of the game, Alex Hugo and Denae Benites, shone with two-run home runs that provided an early decisive lead. Olivia Pichardo also stood out on the mound, limiting Canada to just two hits over four solid innings.
From the start of the game, the USA showcased their offensive power with a two-run home run by Hugo in the first inning and a similar performance by Benites in the third. Despite Canada's efforts to recover, including a score in the second inning thanks to Zoe Hicks, the USA's defense remained firm and effectively contained their rival's attempts.
The relief pitching by Cody Eckert and Jillian Albayati closed the game effectively, securing the victory for the USA. With this win, the team is now preparing to face Chinese Taipei, while Canada will have to fight for their survival in the tournament against Venezuela.
