Motsepe reminded attendees that the midfielder was a Bafana Bafana international, an African champion, and a FIFA World Cup participant, but insisted that the titles that truly defined his life were different.

"He was a son, a brother, and a father," he said during his speech, also highlighting the humility, discipline, and character that defined the footballer.

His tribute was followed by comments from Patrice Motsepe, president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), who said Adams held a very special place in the hearts of South Africans. He also confirmed that the club will continue supporting the player's family not only during the funeral but in the months ahead.

According to information shared by the authorities, the midfielder was found dead at a property in Cape Town, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain under police investigation.

Following the many reports that surfaced after the news broke, Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie publicly urged both the media and the public to avoid speculation until the official investigation has been completed.
