Álvaro Arbeloa has wasted no time putting his stamp on Fulham, bringing in two players he knows well from Real Madrid's academy as he prepares for his first season in charge of the Premier League club.

The Spanish manager has completed the signings of Gonzalo García and César Palacios, two graduates of La Fábrica whom he coached during his time with Real Madrid's youth teams.

The headline signing is Gonzalo García, a 22-year-old striker who joins Fulham in a deal worth €40 million plus €2 million in add-ons. He has signed a five-year contract and will wear the club's iconic No. 7 shirt. Meanwhile, 21-year-old attacking midfielder César Palacios arrives in a transfer valued at around €10 million.

Real Madrid retained 30% of the players' future transfer rights, along with buy-back and matching rights, ensuring the Spanish giants maintain a stake in both prospects' development.

Reports also suggest Fulham is pursuing Thiago Pitarch, an 18-year-old midfielder who also came through Real Madrid's academy, potentially making him Arbeloa's third signing from his former club.

Arbeloa's competitive debut as Fulham manager is scheduled for August 24, when the Cottagers face Chelsea in a London derby to open their Premier League campaign.
