Beşiktaş Accelerates Its Pursuit of Dušan Vlahović
The future of Dušan Vlahović could be heading to Turkey. After ending his spell with Juventus, the Serbian striker has become one of the most attractive free agents on the market, and one club is already making a serious push to secure his signature.
Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı has confirmed that talks with the striker are underway and that the club is working to make him its marquee signing ahead of the new season.
The club executive made the comments during an interview with the Turkish outlet Fanatik, acknowledging that negotiations are ongoing while declining to reveal further details about the current stage of the discussions.
Beşiktaş Shifts Focus After the Salah Saga
The interest in Vlahović comes just days after the Turkish transfer market was dominated by Mohamed Salah.
As we reported earlier this week, the Egyptian star completed his move to Trabzonspor, where thousands of supporters welcomed him in one of the most spectacular player presentations of the summer.
Following that transfer, reports suggested that Beşiktaş had lost the race to sign the former Liverpool forward. However, club president Serdal Adalı firmly dismissed those claims.
Adalı explained that Mohamed Salah was never part of the club's transfer strategy and insisted that Beşiktaş was never close to signing him, rejecting the idea that Trabzonspor had "stolen" the player from them.
With that chapter now closed, the Turkish giants have shifted their full attention to convincing Dušan Vlahović.
A Striker Capable of Making an Immediate Impact
At 26 years old, Vlahović remains one of the most highly regarded strikers available on the European market.
His physical presence, ability to play with his back to goal, and natural finishing instincts make him an ideal fit for the Süper Lig, where his style of play could quickly make a significant impact.
Arriving as a free agent also makes the deal financially attractive for Beşiktaş, which would only need to negotiate the Serbian international's salary and signing bonus.
Meanwhile, Manchester United continues to be linked with the striker, particularly as uncertainty surrounds the future of Joshua Zirkzee. However, the Premier League club has yet to submit a formal offer, allowing the Turkish side to gain momentum in the race.
For now, Beşiktaş remains actively engaged in negotiations and hopes to convince Dušan Vlahović to become the centerpiece of its new sporting project. If the deal is completed, the Istanbul club would secure one of the biggest signings of the summer and send a clear message about its ambitions for the upcoming season.
