Lisandro Martinez Explains the Outburst of His Statements and Promises Commitment to Manchester United

Lisandro Martínez clarified that his criticisms after the defeat were the result of frustration and reaffirmed his commitment to work with ambition for United.

Martinez's Argument

The Argentine Lisandro Martínez, defender of Manchester United, argued that his statements against the club's management after losing at the Metropolitano to Atlético de Madrid in a Champions League match were the result of anger and frustration over the defeat and assured that "the way forward is to work together, with ambition and commitment."

Martínez's message

The Albiceleste international posted a message on his social media to share some reflections on his actions - also criticized by club legends - and how he feels: "After the match, I spoke out of anger and frustration for not having achieved the result we all wanted."

"Those who know me know how I live football, with passion, commitment, and a huge desire to win. And when things don't go as we want, it hurts, especially when you represent a club with the history and greatness of Manchester United," he added.

"My words reflect how I feel and how much I want to see this club compete for the highest honors," he continued, "those high standards are part of how I see football and the responsibility that comes with wearing this shirt."

Keep growing

Lisandro Martínez pointed out that when he spoke of wanting more, he was referring to the ambition that everyone in the club must have. "Keep growing, become stronger, and have everything we need to compete at the highest level. These are the standards that we all must uphold, starting with me," he assured.

"I know that, above all, it is us, the players, who have to deliver, and I take on that responsibility. We need to push ourselves even more and work together to bring Manchester United back to the top," stated the Argentine, who pointed out that he believes in his teammates, the coach, and everyone who works to help the club move forward.

"My goal has been the same since day one: to win, compete at the highest level, and give everything I have for this badge," added Lisandro Martínez. EFE
