Alaves blows two-goal lead at Las Palmas
Alaves blew tha chance to put some distance between itself and LaLiga's bottom three after it blew a two-goal lead at fellow struggler Las Palmas to come away with only one point from a thrilling 2-2 draw.
The visitors were in complete control after goals from Toni Martinez and Jon Guridi in either half had them leading.
But Las Palmas stuck back twice at the death, firstly in the 90th minute through Fabio Silva from the penalty spot before Alberto Moleiro blasted home an equaliser from the edge of the box in the fifth minute of stoppage-time.
The result leaves Las Palmas in the relegation zone, second last with 25 points, and while the point moved Alaves out of the bottom three up to 16th with 27 points, there is every chance it could be back in there by the end of the matchday if Leganes, which is also on 27 points, grabs a draw or victory from its match with Real Betis.
