New date for Barcelona versus Osasuna confirmed
Barcelona's postponed LaLiga game with Osasuna earlier this month has been rescheduled for 27 March, the Spanish Soccer Federation (RFEF) confirmed.
Both teams had announced their respective line-ups, but Barcelona declared the game was postponed after the death of club doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.
The new date for the clash would take place after the upcoming international break, and it is believed that both teams are set to appeal the decision.
This is due to Barcelona and Osasuna missing key players, with Raphinha and Ronald Araujo on international duty with Brazil and Uruguay in their World Cup qualifiers.
Raphinha and Brazil face Colombia on 21 March before taking on Argentina five days later, meaning Raphinha would almost certainly not be back in time for Barcelona.
Uruguay, meanwhile, also faces Argentina and then Bolivia on 25 March, with Araujo also likely to be unable to return for Hansi Flick's side to face Osasuna.
Osasuna will also be missing Cameroonian Enzo Boyomo, in action against Eswatini and Libya, the latter fixture also being played on 25 March.
The decision would also require Osasuna to reschedule its LaLiga fixture with Athletic Club, set to take place the day after at San Mames.
Barcelona is due to play Girona on 30 March. The reported preferred date is 21 May, midway between the penultimate and final round of the LaLiga season.
That, however, depends on Barcelona's progression in the Champions League and Copa del Rey, with the Blaugrana in the quarter-finals and semi-finals of those respective competitions.
