Brentford seals third straight league away win
Kevin Schade scored the only goal as Brentford edged West Ham United 1-0 at London Stadium to earn an historic third straight win on the road in the Premier League.
Schade netted the decisive goal after just four minutes. Although Alphonse Areola denied him twice, scrambling to claw off the line after the initial effort looped towards goal, his second attempt was over the line before it was pushed away.
The Bees pushed for a second goal with Schade rattling the post, while Yoane Wissa was twice denied by the offside flag before half-time.
West Ham was much improved after the break with Mohammad Kudus going the closest to scoring when he fired over from close range in the 48th minute.
However, Graham Potter's side was unable to find an equaliser and is now without a win in four league games, keeping it 16th on the table, seven points behind Brentford in 11th.
