Belotti double keeps Cagliari in the high life
Andrea Belotti netted a brace as Cagliari recovered from a goal down to win for the first time at Lecce since 2011, securing a 2-1 victory away from home that moved it up to fifth place on the Serie A ladder.
Belotti struck in the 33rd minute to level the scores after Tiago Gabriel had got the hosts off to a fast start with a bullet header that found the back of the net after just five minutes.
And Belotti was on the spot again to seal victory for Cagliari, scoring a penalty he'd won himself on 71 minutes to put the game to bed.
Cagliari's second straight win has it breathing rarified air in the top six of the competition, which for Lecce, it was another bitter disappointment.
Its third straight defeat leaves it stuck at the bottom of the table with just one point from its opening four matches of the season.
