Genoa inflicts more pain on Lecce
Genoa beat Lecce 2-1 at home to put the visitors in more peril as it fights to stay clear of Serie A's bottom three.
Fabio Miretti bagged a first-half double for the hosts to put them in charge, and while Lecce pulled a goal back through Nikola Krstovic with more than 20 minutes to play, it was unable to push on for more, suffering a fourth straight defeat as a result.
Lecce is only three points clear of the dropzone in 16th place, while Patrick Vieira's Genoa, which has lost only one of its past five matches, maintained its position in mid-table, sitting in 12th with 35 points.
