Rangers win extends Aberdeen's miserable run
Rangers beat Aberdeen 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership to continue its 11-match unbeaten run at Ibrox, this the 10th win in that sequence as Aberdeen's woeful fall from grace was extended.
Hamza Igamane scored the opener on 13 minutes after a poor defensive lapse from Aberdeen as it looked to clear its lines.
The score stayed at 1-0 until stoppage-time, when Leon Balogun and Cyriel Dessers sealed the game with two more goals.
In truth, though, it could have been more as Rangers twice hit the woodwork and dominated the visitors throughout.
The win closed the big gap to league leader Celtic to 13 points for Rangers, capitalising after the Hoops dropped points with a draw at Dundee.
For Aberdeen, which has now endured 12 matches without a win since a phenomenal unbeaten start, it is still in the top four, but it is 12 points adrift of Rangers in second and and 23 off Celtic.
