Dortmund suffers Nmecha blow
Borussia Dortmund interim boss Mike Tullberg has said that midfielder Felix Nmecha "will be out for a few weeks" with injury ahead of the Bundesliga club's Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
Nmecha was forced off with the injury in the 12th minute of Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen on the weekend.
The 24 year-old Germany international has scored three goals and created two assists in 27 appearances for Dortmund this season.
The Bundesliga side has also recalled Turkey defensive midfielder Salih Ozcan from his loan spell at Wolfsburg to help cover for Nmecha.
Tullberg, who took charge after the departure of Nuri Sahin off the back of the 2-1 Champions League defeat at Bologna last week, also confirmed that centre-back Waldemar Anton and striker Serhou Guirassy will be available for the final league phase fixture.
Guirassy has been directly involved in nine goals in seven Champions League games for Dortmund this season, with seven goals and two assists.
He has also scored or assisted in each of his five home Champions League appearances in his career, with no player having had a goal or assist in each of their first six home games in the competition.
Last year's finalist Dortmund sits 14th in the Champions League table with four wins and three losses in seven games.
Its chances of a direct entry into the last 16 are slim, but it has already booked at least a play-off spot.
Dortmund sacked Sahin after the defeat to Bologna extended its losing run to four games in all competitions with former youth team coach Tullberg set for his first Champions League game as manager.
"I'm grateful for the trust and have worked here for six years in various roles. I enjoy every day and try to give my best in every position," the 39 year-old Dane said.
"I am Dortmund through and through - not just since becoming interim coach but also in my previous roles... I can assess myself and the situation well. It won't be difficult to me to step aside [when a new coach comes around]."
Shakhtar, meanwhile, is 27th in the 36-team table with seven points with four losses, two wins and a draw, but can still make the playoffs.
"We will adjust a few small things. If the other things are right, the probability of us winning the game is very high," Tullberg said.
"Shakhtar is very strong in possession. But it's more about us bringing our strengths onto the pitch."
Dortmund is unbeaten in four previous meetings with Shakhtar in European competition (W3 D1) - most recently eliminating the Ukrainians from the 2012-2013 Champions League in the last 16.
The top eight teams from the league phase qualify directly for the last 16, while those finishing ninth to 24th go into the playoffs, to be played next month.
