Sinner sails past De Minaur into the semi-finals

World No.1 and defending Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner proved far to strong for home hope Alex De Minaur as the Italian sailed into the semi-finals at Melbourne Park with a comprehensive 6-3 6-2 6-1 win.

It was the 10th time the two had met, and the 10th time Sinner had beaten the Australian after another impressive display on Rod Laver Arena.

Sinner will face American Ben Shelton in the last four after he beat the undessed Lorenzo Sonego in their quarter-final clash.

Novak Djokovic and Alex Zverev will battle it out in the other semi-final.
