Burnley wins derby to pile more pressure on Leeds
Burnley put pressure on EFL Championship leader Leeds United with a 1-0 victory away to rival Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Zian Flemming got the decisive contribution on the hour in a tight contest, flinging himself at a Bashir Humphreys cross to head home for the winner in front of the travelling support.
While a draw would not have been unfair given Blackburn's contribution – it fashioned 11 shots compared to Burnley's four – the victory moved Burnley into second place, trailing Leeds by just a point.
Blackburn dropped to seventh on the back of defeat, one point outside the play-off places.
