Aaron Connolly saw a first-half penalty saved for the visitors, having come off the bench to replace the injured Callum Scanlon, but they weren't to be denied at Kenilworth Road.

Mihailo Ivanovic scored the only goal of the game in the second half, a brilliant strike from the edge of the penalty area, giving Millwall a victory that took it to 15th on the table and granted Alex Neil his first victory since taking over as the Lions' boss.

Defeat for Luton leaves it second-bottom on the table and two points from safety.

The Hatters have now lost seven of their past eight matches and are winless in three games since Matt Bloomfield took the reins.
