Socceroos star Ryan starts for Roma in Cup
Veteran Australia goal-keeper Mat Ryan made his first appearance since joining Serie A giant Roma this season, starting for the Giallorossi in their 4-1 Coppa Italia win over Sampdoria.
In a match his side dominated, the 32 year-old Socceroos star endured a strange outing, not being required to make a single save outside of Gerard Yepes's 61st-minute tap-in that got the better of him.
Roma will travel to AC Milan in the quarter-finals next February.
