Igor Tudor insists he is not interested by "useful calculations", as Juventus' fight for a Champions League place intensifies.

With just seven games remaining in Serie A, it promises to be an intriguing battle to appear in Europe's premier club competition next season, with just six points separating fourth-place Bologna and AC Milan in ninth.

Juventus occupy fifth place, which may prove enough depending on Italy's UEFA ranking, ahead of welcoming Lecce to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

Nevertheless, Tudor says the tight scenario will not affect his players' approach to their remaining matches.

"For me, it doesn't change anything," he told reporters during his pre-match press conference. "For those who make calculations, journalists and fans, it's only right that they have fun with it. It's fascinating.

"[Saturday] is another battle. We try to do the right things from a tactical point of view, and then you focus on the next training session.

"There is no other way to do it. These are useless calculations, which don't give you anything, they only detract."

After replacing Thiago Motta last month, Tudor has registered four points from his opening two games in charge, beating Genoa 1-0 and drawing 1-1 with Roma.

The Bianconeri head coach has been impressed by the response of his players, and he is not focusing on what might have been had he taken over sooner.

"I haven't asked myself anything, I don't look at the past," Tudor said.

"The past and the future count for little. I'm happy because I found guys with a desire to do well and improve. This has been my good fortune.

"Their response surprised me positively. They are the ones who make the difference. We coaches are important, but their response is the key."
