Walker has surgery for fractured elbow while at Milan
Kyle Walker has gone under the knife while at AC Milan, having fractured his elbow, and it is doubtful when he will play again.
On-loan AC Milan defender Kyle Walker has had surgery on a fracture to his right elbow.
Though the club did not disclose a recovery timeline, it seems doubtful that Walker will play again this season given there are just seven games remaining in Serie A.
Walker joined the Italian side on loan from Manchester City in January and has featured 12 times for them so far, including eight times in Serie A.
Since joining Milan, Walker ranks first among players with five or more league appearances for interceptions per 90 minutes (1.05) and the times he has won possession per 90 (5.96).
The Italian side have an option to buy Walker after the conclusion of his loan deal and there is as yet no news on whether they will exercise that.
Milan have endured a disappointing league season and are currently ninth in the table, trailing the top six in Serie A by seven points.
They do, though, have a Coppa Italia semi-final second leg coming later in the month against rivals Inter, having drawn 1-1 in the first leg.
