The Best and Worst Teams to Play in the NFL
The Miami Dolphins were rated as the best franchise to play for, while the Arizona Cardinals received the lowest score.
The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) released its third annual evaluation of working conditions across all 32 NFL teams on Wednesday.
What Do Players Evaluate?
The survey, conducted by Artemis Strategy Group, included responses from 1,695 players, representing 77% of NFLPA members. The evaluation focused on key aspects such as relationships with coaches, facility quality, nutrition, travel, training, and interactions with team personnel, including ownership.
This study was first introduced in 2022 with the goal of improving working conditions for players and raising overall quality standards in the most powerful sports league in the United States.
Top and Bottom Ranked Teams
For the third consecutive year, the Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings ranked among the top-rated teams. This time, the Atlanta Falcons joined them in the top three, marking a significant improvement from last year when they placed 25th.
One of the biggest jumps in the rankings came from the Washington Commanders. Previously ranked last, the team saw a dramatic turnaround after former owner Daniel Snyder sold the franchise to investor Josh Harris for $6.05 billion. With Harris in charge, the Commanders climbed to the 11th spot.
“There’s been a cultural shift in Washington. Congratulations to Josh Harris and his entire team,” said Joseph Car Tretter, NFLPA strategy director.
Meanwhile, Super Bowl LIX champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, placed 16th, while the Kansas City Chiefs, last season’s runners-up, landed in a surprising 26th place.
At the bottom of the rankings, the five lowest-rated teams were the Arizona Cardinals (32), New England Patriots (31), Cleveland Browns (30), New York Jets (29), and the Pittsburgh Steelers (28).
