This weekend, the NBA will host the 74th edition of the All-Star Game at the Chase Center in San Francisco, featuring a new format designed to increase competitiveness.

New Format with a Mini-Tournament and Cash Prizes

Due to the lack of intensity in recent editions, the traditional All-Star Game has been revamped. Instead of the usual East vs. West matchup or teams selected by captains, this year’s event will feature a mini-tournament with four teams, led by legendary figures such as Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith.

The championship-winning team will earn a $125,000 prize per player, while the runner-up team will take home $50,000 each.
