Yodlekpet Plans Early Birthday Gift With Victory Over Mammadov At ONE Friday Fights 134
Four-time Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya returns to action at ONE Friday Fights 134 on November 21, where he faces one of his most difficult challenges yet in dangerous Azerbaijani finisher Anar Mammadov. The 30-year-old Thai veteran enters this main event showdown determined to snap his alternating win-loss pattern and reclaim his momentum. Now training with renewed focus at Silk Muay Thai, "The Destroyer" looks to deliver a statement-making performance against the surging Mammadov that could propel him closer toward the life-changing US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
Yodlekpet Analyzes Split-Decision Loss, Returns With Improved Approach
Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya saw his two-fight winning streak come to an end this past September when he dropped a narrow split decision to Pompet PK Saenchai in their highly anticipated rematch. The setback proved particularly frustrating for the four-time Muay Thai World Champion, who had previously defeated Pompet via split decision just one month earlier in August. Yodlekpet found himself unable to duplicate that success in their second encounter, despite entering the contest with championship experience and momentum on his side.
The 30-year-old veteran has spent considerable time analyzing what went wrong in that rematch, acknowledging that his training camps for both fights differed significantly in their approach and execution. The decorated Thai striker has since shifted his focus toward landing his weapons with greater accuracy and precision, recognizing that technical refinement could prove to be the difference in future matches.
"The moment that caused the loss was likely in the final seconds of the last round, where he performed better. After facing him twice, I believe his weakness is that he shows signs of tiring in the later rounds," Yodlekpet said. "I didn't regret the last loss too much because I felt I gave my all, and it was an entertaining fight. I'm happy the audience enjoyed it. Now, I have to rebuild my form and try to get as close as possible to earning a ONE contract. I specifically want to improve my speed. I believe I can do much better.”
Thai Veteran Identifies Mammadov's Strengths, Prepares Strategic Counter-Attack
Yodlekpet now turns his attention to Anar Mammadov, who made an impressive ONE Championship debut by defeating Komawut FA Group via knockout in October. The Azerbaijani rising star immediately announced his arrival to the world’s largest martial arts organization with that performance, showcasing the dangerous finishing ability that has made him a name to watch in the division. Mammadov brings a formidable 12-3 record into this main event clash, along with a significant four-inch height advantage that could prove problematic for the Thai veteran.
"The Destroyer" has studied his opponent, identifying both the threats and potential opportunities that Mammadov presents inside the squared circle. The Azerbaijani’s all-around skill set and incredible punching power have earned Yodlekpet's respect, though the Thai veteran believes his experience and weapon diversity could prove decisive.
"He's a very well-rounded fighter with almost no visible weaknesses, and he has incredibly dangerous punches. Plus, he has a big, tall physique. His win over Komawut that day was quite an upset, but Komawut was a late replacement and might not have been at 100 percent, so it wasn't a complete test of Anar's true skills," Yodlekpet said. "My advantage remains my raw power and greater variety of weapons, and I've increased my speed, so I'm fully ready to deal with Anar. I haven't faced a foreign fighter in a while, so I need to be careful, especially with his quick in-and-out footwork. I have to try to keep pace and counter him.”
Victory Could Launch Yodlekpet Toward Coveted ONE Championship Contract
Yodlekpet understands the magnitude of what's at stake when he steps into the squared circle against Mammadov on November 21. A dominant victory would not only snap his frustrating pattern of alternating between wins and losses, but could also position him for serious consideration for the US$100,000 contract that would transform his career. With his 30th birthday approaching on December 2, "The Destroyer" views this fight as an opportunity to give himself the ultimate early birthday present while closing out the year on a high note.
The four-time Muay Thai World Champion remains confident that his pedigree and refined approach will prove too much for his Azerbaijani rival. Yodlekpet's raw power and diverse striking arsenal have carried him to 92 career victories throughout his extensive professional journey, and he believes those weapons will be the difference-makers against Mammadov's size and technical prowess.
"Securing a victory over Anar is very important because I don't want to keep alternating between wins and losses anymore. A win will significantly boost my confidence and help me find a path back to continuous victories," Yodlekpet said. "I am very confident that 'The Destroyer' will make a comeback. I still have the fire for competition and the same hunger for victory. I want to defeat Anar as an early birthday gift to myself and to finish this year strongly."
