The Buttery Bros' documentary has shed more light on the tragic death of Lazar Dukic at the 2024 CrossFit Games, revealing that a spectator saw the athlete drowning and jumped into the water to try and save him.

This account comes from an interview with Sevan Matossain, an independent content creator, as the documentary details various perspectives on Event 1 of the competition, where the Serbian athlete lost his life.

"Someone jumped into the water… A fan jumped into the water because they saw someone drowning," Matossain narrated in a part of the documentary.

"Right here, about 30 minutes ago," he explains, seemingly pointing to the area where the incident occurred.

A member of the Buttery Bros asks, "Can't they find the fan or the athlete?" to which Matossain responds, "The athlete." The footage then shows CrossFit Games staff members searching along the shore of the lake where Event 1 took place.

Tommy Marquez, another content creator, shares that Lazar's wife and his brother, Luka Dukic, mentioned they hadn't seen him come out of the water.
