2025 Club World Cup: Here are the groups for the new Club World Cup
This Thursday, the draw for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup took place, which will be held in the United States from June 15 to July 13. In its new edition, the tournament will feature 32 teams from around the world, divided into eight groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage, which will be played in a knockout format.
In Group A, Palmeiras from Brazil will face Al Ahly from Egypt, Porto from Portugal, and Inter Miami from the United States, the host nation of the tournament. Meanwhile, Group B will be marked by the presence of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), who will compete against Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, and Seattle Sounders.
Group C will feature traditional teams like Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Juniors, and Benfica, while Group D will include Flamengo, Esperance Sportive de Tunisie, Chelsea, and León. In Group E, River Plate from Argentina will face Urawa Red Diamonds from Japan, Monterrey, and Inter Milan.
Group F will have Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, and Ulsan, while Group G will feature Manchester City, Wydad Casa Blanca, and Juventus. Finally, Group H, which generates the most excitement, will see Real Madrid facing Al Hilal, followed by Pachuca and Salzburg.
This will be the first Club World Cup with the new format of 32 teams, where clubs from six different confederations will compete for the glory of world football. With 63 matches scheduled in 12 venues across U.S. cities, the tournament promises to be one of the most exciting events in international football.
