Carlo Ancelotti Welcomes Back Key Players After FIFA Break
Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has reintegrated four of his key internationals—Luka Modric, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, and Brahim Díaz—into Real Madrid's preparations for their upcoming clash against Leganés this Sunday.
All four returned in top shape, with Modric and Camavinga especially fresh after missing their respective national teams’ second matches due to suspension. The rest of the squad's internationals are set to rejoin the team later in the day, with a training session scheduled for 3:00 PM. This timing allows players like Vinícius Junior and Fede Valverde, who faced off in a 1-1 draw with Valverde scoring, enough time to arrive and begin focusing on the Leganés match.
Additionally, Arda Güler and Antonio Rüdiger will also return to training. However, Lucas Vázquez, Rodrygo Goes, and Aurelien Tchouaméni remain sidelined as they continue their recovery processes. The trio has been ruled out for the Leganés fixture but may have a chance to return against Liverpool if their recovery progresses quickly.
Ancelotti is also dealing with the absence of David Alaba, Dani Carvajal, and Éder Militao, the latter still recovering from ACL surgery on his right knee. Despite these setbacks, the squad is gearing up for a crucial period with a blend of returning stars and hopeful recoveries.
