Colombia's Beautiful Centenary Jersey Commemorates Federation's 100 Years
The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) will celebrate its centenary during the tenth matchday of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chile with a special commemorative jersey, honoring the first kit worn by the tricolor national team in 1945.
The jersey, produced by Adidas, is white and features a Colombian flag on the chest, above which is the FCF's 100-year anniversary logo, as stated in a press release from the Federation.
"Instead of the traditional colors of the FCF crest, the game jersey incorporates the Adidas Originals and Federation logos in gold, emphasizing the special and elegant nature of this exclusive edition. Additionally, the collar is embroidered with the vibrant colors of the Colombian flag, adding a touch of national identity," the statement added.
For FCF President Ramón Jesurún, this jersey "celebrates a century of joy and passion."
"The collaboration with Adidas has been essential in creating a piece that not only honors our past but also reflects the pride and identity of our national team. This jersey is a symbol of our achievements and the unity of a country that lives and breathes football," said the president.
Colombia, having lost 1-0 to Bolivia on Thursday, enters the match against Chile in second place with 16 points, three behind leaders Argentina.
