Kings League Italy Launches with Italian Stars
The Kings League, a 7-a-side football competition that incorporates elements of video games and social media, will launch in Italy this Monday, spearheaded by legendary former footballers Francesco Totti, Andrea Pirlo, and Gianluigi Buffon. These icons will be present at the inaugural event in Turin, where all the details of the competition will be unveiled.
The event is set to attract a host of Italian social media personalities and football legends, including Luca Toni, Fabio Cannavaro, and Alessandro Del Piero, who will join Totti, Pirlo, and Buffon in promoting the league's expansion in Italy.
Among the team presidents for the Italian edition is the renowned rapper Fedez, with more names yet to be announced.
While the start date for Kings League Italy has not been confirmed, the league will retain its essence by broadcasting the games live on social media platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
Italy had previously participated in the Kings World Cup, a global event for the league, which was broadcasted live by SportItalia, an Italian sports television channel.
With this launch, the Italian league becomes the third iteration of the Kings League, following successful launches in Spain and the Americas, where the latter included streamers from various Latin American countries.
