The Curious Seat Arrangement at the New Camp Nou
The new Spotify Camp Nou is progressing towards its opening, expected by late 2024 or early 2025, when it will initially host 62,000 spectators.
One of the most talked-about features is the unique arrangement of the seats, which are placed in a discontinuous pattern. This design aims to create a visual gradient effect in the iconic blaugrana colors, as shown in the promotional renders of the stadium.
The effect is intended to reflect Barcelona’s visual identity and create a distinctive atmosphere for fans attending matches.
The seats, designed for maximum comfort, are provided by the German company EHEIM Möbel, which has previously worked on iconic venues like the Allianz Arena and the Cívitas Metropolitano. Their involvement ensures a high standard of quality for the Camp Nou project.
While the stadium won’t be fully completed until 2026, Barcelona’s return to their home ground is scheduled for late 2024 or early 2025.
This will allow fans to enjoy matches in a revamped stadium, though with a reduced capacity compared to the 104,000 seats the stadium will offer once construction is fully finished.
