Nico Paz, who has ties to Real Madrid, has amazed the world with his talent at just 20 years old. He currently plays for Como 1907, Cesc Fàbregas' team, and is one of the biggest surprises on the Argentina National Team’s call-up list.

A former Real Madrid academy player, Nico is the son of former Argentine footballer Pablo Paz. He was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on September 8, 2004, and has decided, according to his own statements, to represent Argentina.

"I was born in Spain. I love both countries, but in the end, I chose to represent Argentina. I think it's the country that represents me the most, because of how football is lived there and because of my father—it's a pride to follow in his footsteps," said the young footballer, who is making his mark in Serie A, in an interview with DSports Radio.

In 2023, Pablo Paz was asked on Radio Marca about his son playing for Argentina instead of Spain, to which he responded:

"Argentina or Spain? Nico didn’t have to choose; the Spanish national team never called him. The opportunity came up, and Nico really liked it, so he took it. He even got to train with Messi, his idol."
