Harry Kane Adds to His Trophy case With The Gerd Muller Award

  • Kane claims second Gerd Müller Trophy after a 73-goal season

Record-breaking numbers

The Bayern Munich and England national team forward, Harry Kane, won his second Gerd Müller Trophy on Monday, his first outright, following the impressive 2025-2026 campaign he completed.

Between club and country, Kane scored 73 goals and provided eight assists, figures only matched by Leo Messi in the 2021-2022 season, when the Argentine star scored 91 goals.

Kane won the European Golden Shoe thanks to the 36 goals he scored in the Bundesliga, which helped the Bavarians clinch their second consecutive title.

His role with England

With England, Kane scored six goals at the World Cup, just one fewer than Jude Bellingham, England's top scorer at the tournament. Some of them were very valuable, such as the ones he scored against the Republic of Congo and Mexico to help England advance from the group stage.

An elite record

Kane succeeds Viktor Gyökeres in the honors list and adds his second Gerd Müller Trophy, after the one he shared in 2024 with Kylian Mbappé. EFE
